A dental crown (also known as a cap) is a fixed dental restoration that covers a problem tooth. Crowns are used to repair teeth that are severely decayed, damaged, or weakened. They can also be used to replace teeth in implant dentistry and can be attached to surgical implants for a natural appearance. Once a crown is cemented in place, it fully restores the shape, appearance, and strength of the tooth underneath it. Friday’s after doing all the testing both at Smile Dental and at his office (Summer Dental Office) in Haverhill. He informed me that he could do it but it would not last because of bone loss and referred me to another specialist. This is what I call a true doctor.
